We Took the UK's Favourite Gin Flavours and Made Them Into Iced Tea
If you've ever ordered a rhubarb and ginger gin and tonic, or a raspberry mojito, and thought — I wish I could have this without the alcohol — we made that for you.
That's not a marketing line. It's genuinely how two of our flavours came to exist.
The UK Has a Gin Problem (In the Best Way)
Over the last decade, British gin culture exploded. And with it came a wave of flavoured gins that changed what people expect from a drink — not just booze, but real flavour. Elderflower. Pink grapefruit. Sloe. And, sitting at the top of the pile: rhubarb and ginger.
Rhubarb and ginger gin became one of the UK's best-selling flavoured spirits for a reason. It's sharp, warming, a little tart, and unmistakably British. It tastes like something.
The same goes for raspberry and mint — the combination that makes a mojito worth ordering. Bright, fresh, slightly floral, with that cool mint finish that makes the whole thing feel like a treat rather than just a drink.
We looked at what people were already ordering, already loving, and asked: why isn't there a version of this that doesn't come with a hangover?
So We Made It Into Iced Tea
Riviera's rhubarb and ginger iced tea takes that same bold, warming combination — the tartness of rhubarb, the kick of ginger — and brews it into a naturally still iced tea that you can drink at any time of day, anywhere, without a second thought.
No alcohol. No carbonation. No artificial sweeteners. Just the flavour, cold, in a can.
The raspberry and mint does the same thing for the mojito crowd. If the Long Island Iced Tea is disappointing because it doesn't actually contain tea (we've been there), this is the version that makes things right — real raspberry, real mint, the refreshing combination you already know you love.
Why This Matters Beyond the Flavour
There's a growing number of people in the UK who are drinking less — or not at all — but who still want something that feels like a proper drink. Not a compromise. Not a sad Diet Coke while everyone else has a cocktail.
The problem with most non-alcoholic alternatives is that they're trying to replicate alcohol — low-alcohol wine that tastes like watered-down wine, non-alcoholic spirits that remind you of what you're not drinking.
We took a different approach. Instead of starting with alcohol and removing it, we started with flavours people already love and built a drink around them from scratch. The result doesn't taste like a substitute. It tastes like its own thing — because it is.
The Pub Order You Didn't Know You Could Make
Next time you're out and want something cold and flavourful that isn't another round, ask for Riviera. The rhubarb and ginger is the one for people who'd usually go for a gin and tonic. The raspberry and mint is the one for the mojito drinkers.
Same flavour instinct. Different morning after.
Riviera Iced Tea is naturally brewed, low calorie, non-carbonated, and made in the UK. Find us in Lincolnshire Co-op stores and independent stockists across the country — or order online here.
